Tom Hanks will play Fred Rogers in an upcoming biopic concerning the late youngsters’s TV icon. Rogers created the long-running present Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood, which ran from the ’60s by way of the early 2000s. Rogers handed away in 2003 on the age of 74.

This is not the primary Mister Rogers film, because the documentary Will not You Be My Neighbor? premiered at Sundance not too long ago. As for Hanks, he not too long ago starred in Steven Spielberg’s The Publish, which is nominated for Best Picture this year at the Academy Awards.
